The National Ethics and Values Awards (NEVA) was born out of a critical need: to restore the moral foundation of our nation by recognizing, celebrating, and amplifying the voices of individuals and institutions that uphold integrity, ethical leadership, and national values in their everyday lives and professional conduct.
To Promote a Culture of Integrity
NEVA exists to counter the rising tide of corruption, dishonesty, and impunity by highlighting those who choose to do the right thing—even when it’s hard. We believe that when ethical conduct is rewarded, it becomes a national aspiration.
To Inspire Future Leaders
By celebrating role models of ethics and transparency, NEVA provides real-life examples for young people, professionals, and civil servants to emulate. This helps instill a value-driven mindset across generations.
To Build Public Trust
NEVA helps rebuild public confidence in institutions, governance, and leadership by showcasing those who consistently act in the interest of the common good. When ethical behavior is seen, heard, and honored—it spreads.
To Give Citizens a Voice
The public nomination process allows everyday Nigerians to celebrate unsung heroes—teachers, civil servants, entrepreneurs, community leaders—who might otherwise remain invisible. NEVA gives people a chance to say: “This is the kind of Nigeria we want.”
Our Judges
NEVA is not just an award—it’s a movement. By spotlighting value-driven individuals and institutions, it encourages governments, businesses, and civic groups to adopt ethical standards in their systems, operations, and policies.
